Propaganda, Nuclear Weapons, Conflicting Ideologies Is the U.S. Headed to War with Iran?
Friday, April 18, 2008 - 12:00pm
Brownbag colloquium with Dr. Ervand Abrahamian, Iranian expert and CUNY Distinguished Professor of History.

Iranian scholar Abrahamian will explore Modern Iran and the outlooks for its future. To be highlighted is the tangled relationship between Iran and U.S. and prospects for war between the two nations. In his book on the subject matter, Abrahamian writes, "The United States is on a collision course with Iran. The main casualty could well be the democratic movement in Iran." Abraham is particularly critical of the U.S.'s campaign of misinformation on and demonization of Iran. He subscribes to the view that a U.S.-led attack on Iran is indeed impeding.
