What: Connections Celebrating the Mersereau Music Scholarships

When: Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Where: Lincoln Hall Auditorium, room 75, 1620 SW Park Ave.

In 2007, composer and PSU alum Brad Mersereau (B.A. Composition, 1973) created a full tuition scholarship supporting highly talented and motivated seniors in jazz and composition as they reached for their dreams. Join PSU Professor of jazz studies Darrell Grant and friends for an hour-long concert celebrating this legacy of opportunity and musical connection.  Featured performers include past and present recipients of the Mersereau Scholarship including guitarist, Chance Hayden, drummer Mario Sandoval and saxophonist Nicole Glover, Mersereau himself, and a host of special guests including pianist Steve Christofferson, vocalist Marilyn Keller and Portland jazz legend Tom Grant.  Read more on the event here.
