Police Forum: Fear or Safety-Policing in America
Friday, February 18, 2011 - 5:00pm to Friday, February 18, 2011 - 8:00pm

As part of Black History Month the PSU NAACP is organizing a Community/Police Forum to discuss matters affecting the relationship between communities and law enforcement throughout the nation, particularly, those disadvantaged and of lower income. Our goal is to engender momentum leading to positive change in policy decisions at every level, eradicate discrimination, and prevent costly loss of trust and funds as result of misconduct and misunderstanding. As citizen oversight is a fundamental principal of good governance, we would like to request your participation to enrich this educational experience. Our keynote speakers will be Greg Miles, community activist Floyd Cruse, representatives from Portland Copwatch and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

When: February 18th, 2011 5pm to 8pm

Where: Parkway North (Smith Building)
