Oregon Ballet Theatre: More than tights and tutus

WHAT: Linda Besant, Historian and Lecturer at Oregon Ballet Theatre, will talk about OBT, about what makes ballet special as a performing art form, and about how its unique characteristics evolved through the history of western culture.
This is an "encore career" for Linda after her primary career as executive director of an outdoor adventure program for people with physical disabilities. She fell in love with ballet as an audience member while in her 40s, and remembers what it's like to be dying of curiosity about this unique way of dancing.
