Elinor Langer's most recent work, A Hundred Little Hitlers, was chosen as a finalist for the J. Anthony Lukas Award for work-in-progress and was a finalist for the Book of the Month Club's Best Non-Fiction book of 2003. An award-winning journalist, she has written for such publications as The New York Review of Books, The New York Times Book Review, Mother Jones, and The Nation. Her biography of the American radical novelist and journalist Josephine Herbst was nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award in 1984. Langer lives in Portland, Oregon.
