Lecture: "Chomsky as Extraterrestrial" by Bruce Robbins

The Portland Center for Public Humanities hosts "Chomsky as Extraterrestrial," a lecture this Thursday, March 12 at 6 p.m. in Smith 228 by Bruce Robbins, Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University and author of Feeling Global: Internationalism in Distress. Robbins's lecture addresses the question of whether it is really possible to satisfy the call by public intellectual Noam Chomsky's that we try to view geo-politics from an external or "extraterrestrial" perspective. This lecture is part of both the "Trajectories of Cosmopolitanism Series" at PCPH and Reed College's Public Policy Series.
