Secretary of State Bill Bradley
Global Warming and the Impact on Oregon

Thursday, December 13, 2007, noon - 1 p.m.
GSA Auditorium
911 NE 11th St.

Secretary of State Bill Bradbury will discuss "Oregon's Climate Future" in a presentation jointly sponsored by the Climate Change Committee of the Oregon Public Health Division and the Oregon Environmental Council. The talk will focus on Oregon and how climate change will impact the Pacific Northwest with the goal of encouraging public dialogue on the issue.

Bradbury was part of a select group of individuals chosen to receive intensive training by former Vice President Al Gore, environmental educators, and a team of renowned scientists about issues surrounding global warming in Nashville, Tennessee. They received technical training to become experienced presenters of a version of Gore's slide show, which became the basis of his best-selling book and documentary film An Inconvenient Truth.

"Bill Bradbury is an outstanding example of the millions of Americans who have been energized by the call to action on the climate crisis," said Gore. "Bill will be spending the next year making presentations in and around Oregon discussing how individuals and businesses, schools, and other organizations can be a major part of the solution to the growing crisis of global warming."

This event is free and the public is welcome. Please arrive early to allow time for the GSA auditorium security screening. If you would like more information, please contact Pete Farrelly at (503) 358-5185.
