1st Annual FASA Winter Formal: "City Lights"

Joining forces for the first time, Portland State University's (PSU) Kaibigan, University of Oregon's (UO) Kultura Pilipinas and Oregon State University's (OSU) Isang Bansang Pilipino will host the 1st annual FASA Winter Formal: "City Lights." A tradition in Filipino American Student Associations (FASA) across the Pacific Northwest, FASA Formal hopes to bring the three Filipino student associations and their campuses together for this evening event. The dance will feature refreshments, live music, and photographers. The event will also feature a live auction in which attendees will have an opportunity to win, dance and sit for coffee and treats with a range of students from PSU, UO, and OSU.

Tickets are now available at the PSU Box Office (1825 SE Broadway), any Ticketmaster outlet, and online at Tickets are $8.00 for students, $10.00 for non-students, and $15.00 at the door. With very limited space in the venue, tickets are limited.

Formal attire to the dance is required.

Kaibigan was founded by Filipino American students at PSU during the school year of 2002-2003. The mission of Kaibigan is to unite and empower Filipino American students through educational, political, cultural, and social activities while celebrating the Filipino American experience. Kaibigan has been honored by Student Activities and Leadership Program at PSU as Student Group of the Year for two consecutive years (2005-2006 and 2006-2007). Conceived in 1986, the purpose of Kultura Pilipinas at UO is to promote the Filipino culture and experience through cultural diversity, education, community outreach, and social interactions. Isang Bansang Pilipino is recognized at OSU as one of the premiere cultural groups on campus. It strives to educate about the Filipino culture through performances, food presentations, and workshops.
