Janet Cowal, Applied Linguistics faculty, and Maude Hines, English faculty and co-founder of PSU’s Homelessness Research and Action Collaborative (HRAC), presented a paper titled “The Semiotics of Homelessness: a Preliminary Report from PSU’s Homelessness Research and Action Collaborative” at the 44th Semiotics Society of America Annual Conference in Portland, Oct. 11. The paper was co-authored by Wendy Nuttleman, an Applied Linguistics graduate student.
