Professor Emeritus James Morris and Malgorzata Chrzanowska-Jeske, Electrical and Computer Engineering faculty, were recently elected president and vice-president of finance, respectively, of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council (NTC). The IEEE (www.ieee.org) is the largest professional society in the world with over 417,000 members in 160 countries. Morris and Chrzanowska-Jeske are also general chair and program chair, respectively, of the forthcoming 13th IEEE Nanomaterials & Devices Conference (www.ieeenmdc.org) to be held in Portland October 14-17. A "summer school" on nanotechnology will run at PSU on October 13-14 in association with the conference.
