Ed Abroad 101

Did you know as a PSU student you are eligible to go on over 200 programs in more than 80 countries? Stay on track to graduation, earn credits in your major and explore the world with Education Abroad! This session is designed to introduce you to the basics of international education opportunities at PSU. The goal is to provide you with the initial information to help you feel comfortable taking the next step towards your international journey. Join us to learn more!

Where: Karl Miller Center 605
Day: Thursday
Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Ed Abroad 101 sessions are designed to introduce you to the basics of international education opportunities at PSU. You will learn:

  • Who the Education Abroad team is, and what services we provide you (and what we don't);
  • The importance of an international education experience - including a discussion of some of the common myths about studying abroad
  • How to navigate through the website to learn more about the options available to you;
  • How to get started exploring the costs of an international experience, how your financial aid can apply, and additional funding opportunities (we host separate sessions dedicated just to funding your international experience too!); and
  • How to use the VikingsAbroad application portal to start your program application.

The goal is to provide you with the initial information to help you feel comfortable taking the next step towards your international journey.

NOTE: Attending an Ed Abroad 101 session satisfies your requirement to attend an advising session prior to starting your program application. If you can't attend in person, please feel free to watch the online version of Ed Abroad 101.

Can't attend an Ed Abroad 101 session? Make an appointment or email us at edabroad@pdx.edu.
