Independent Study in Economics

Ec 405/505 Readings and Conference (1-4 credits)

Economics students who wish to explore an economics topic that is not part of the regular curriculum may propose to take Ec 405/505: Readings and Conference for 1-4 credits. Interested students should request mentoring from a faculty member with expertise in the proposed area of study. Typically, credit is awarded for the completion of a research paper. Enrollment is handled via a By Arrangement form (obtainable from the Economics Office) which must be signed by both the faculty mentor and the department chair. Enrollment in Ec 405/505 is at the discretion of individual faculty members.
