Financial Aid

Paying for tuition is difficult for most college students, but it becomes even more challenging to DREAMER students due to the lack of financial resources. This section is made to provide some financial aid resources that are available to DREAMER students at Portland State.

Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA)

(opens Oct. 1)

The ORSAA is an alternative to the FAFSA for undocumented Oregon students, including students who have DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) status. The ORSAA opens on October 1 each year. Do NOT complete the ORSAA if you are a U.S. citizen or a legal noncitizen with an Alien Registration number.

Individual Development Account (IDA) Programs

An IDA is a savings account in which participants begin saving with a particular goal in mind. Once the goal has been reached the account will match whatever savings are in place. This is great way to save up money for school. Below is a link to an IDA partner that specifically helps with paying for school.
