About the Native American Student & Community Center

The Native American Student and Community Center (NASCC) is a part of the Cultural Resource Centers and the larger unit of Diversity and Multicultural Student Services (DMSS) at Portland State University. Our structure is unique with three full time, professional staff who have offices in the NASCC - a building manager, a program coordinator and a retention advisor. All three staff report to three supervisors in DMSS. The larger team meets on a regular basis to keep communication open and to plan happenings at the NASCC. Each staff person works autonomously when they are at the NASCC and collaboratively with their larger teams.
