About the Native American Student & Community Center

The Native American Student and Community Center (NASCC) is a part of the Cultural Resource Centers and the larger unit of Diversity and Multicultural Student Services (DMSS) www.pdx.edu/dmss at Portland State University. Our structure is unique with three full time, professional staff who have offices in the NASCC - a building manager, a program coordinator and a retention advisor. All three staff report to three supervisors in DMSS. The larger team meets on a regular basis to keep communication open and to plan happenings at the NASCC. Each staff person works autonomously when they are at the NASCC and collaboratively with their larger teams.
