Living with Climate Change: The Challenge to Conscience and to Personal Well-Being
Thursday, April 30, 2020 - 5:00pm

Join the Philosophy Department's Socratic Society for a talk by John Hammond, a PSU professor emeritus of philosohpy.

"Living with Climate Change: The Challenge to Conscience and to Personal Well-Being”: Faced with the reality of climate change, can a person both devise and live a morally adequate response and also maintain the conditions for finding personal fulfillment, for a life found good in the living of it?  Can we both do our duty and save our souls?  I explore the reasons why this quandary is so difficult to resolve, and close with suggestions for a constructive continuation of the discussion.
