Upon completion of her master's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Portland State University in 2005, Christy Leader began teaching online courses for the department. She began working in the local law enforcement community as a Crime Analyst with the Portland Police Bureau in 2005 and later went to serve the Hillsboro Police Department as a Law Enforcement Analyst in 2014, contributing to the successful prosecution of a number of cases. She currently serves as lead course developer in the creation of curriculum designed to teach cell phone record analysis and mapping to the law enforcement community.
