Public Service Fellowship Offerings for 2018

Over the years, we have evolved two offerings designed to connect aspiring public servants with federal, state, and local governments and nonprofit agencies in Oregon.

Oregon Summer Fellowship

The first is the Oregon Summer Fellowship, a 10-week paid service learning experience aimed at students who have typically completed their first year of graduate studies. Oregon Summer Fellows receive a $6,000 stipend for the successful completion of their fellowship.

Hatfield Resident Fellowship

The second is the Hatfield Resident Fellowship, an 8-month residency designed for recent masters and doctoral graduates who are seeking to transition into public sector and nonprofit careers. Hatfield Fellows receive a $24,000 stipend for the successful completion of their fellowship.

In addition to these offerings, we are excited to announce a new initiative in 2018 being co-produced with, and hosted by, the Oregon State Treasury.

Robert W. Straub Fellowships

The Robert W. Straub Fellowships are aimed at early career professionals specifically interested in the ever important fiscal practices and treasury functions of government. Hosted by the Oregon State Treasury, Straub Fellows provide a 10-week summer track ($6,000 stipend) and 8-month post graduate residency option ($24,000 stipend).
