Boren Scholarships and Fellowships (also known as NSEP scholarships) are available for undergraduate and graduate study in countries of priority to U.S. national security, largely focusing on the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Note that Boren awards include a service obligation. Boren applicants need to show they have a commitment to government service, be interested in learning language and culture in a country of interest to U.S. national security, have a solid academic record, and get strong letters of recommendation.

PSU Campus Deadline is January 13, 2020. Boren Scholarship applicants will go through a campus interview process in mid January, before the national deadline.

The Boren Fellowship National Deadline is January 29th, 2020 (5:00 pm EST)
