Steve Rounds has a 17-year construction background providing timely, cost effective, professional services that enhance instructional, research, and service goals. He has simultaneously managed small and large complicated turn-key projects in both the public and private sectors. Has a great knowledge of the entire construction process, from design development and permitting to obtaining the certificate of occupancy. This enables him to provide excellent construction and project management services for PSU.

In his current role, Steve provides overall leadership, not only as Assistant Director of CPC but also in managing the Small Projects Division, including the CPC In-House Construction and Alternations Team.

Mark Fujii is responsible for overseeing large, capital construction projects that create, repair, remodel, maintain or preserve the physical assets and utility systems at Portland State University. This has included:

  • $45.3M Remodel of the Science Research and Teaching Center (SRTC) including replacement of building HVAC systems, remodel of old laboratories, and seismic upgrade of the building.
  • $7M Campus Loop Phase I construction for expanding the campus distribution of chilled water and steam to Shattuck Hall, Neuberger Hall, and the Smith Center.
  • $18M Campus Loop Phase 2 construction for completing the connection to all major academic buildings on the west side of campus in giant chilled water and steam piping distribution loops and increasing the capacity of the central plants.
  • $7M Remodel of Blumel Hall including re-pipe of the domestic water line, replacing the roof, replacing the rooftop HVAC units, installation of a new fire alarm panel, and installing energy efficient lighting in the units. The architectural and mechanical design work for this project was performed by PSU CPC personnel.

Kate brings 13+ years of project management experience to Portland State University as a part of the Capital Projects and Construction team. Highly competent with proven leadership and teamwork abilities, Kate is poised to meet PSU's goals for future growth and collaborative partnerships. Kate strives to forge positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to move projects forward. Kate’s professional commitments include collaborative leadership, customer services, teamwork, and safety.

 

 

Anthony Bohan

Anthony Bohan is a Project Manager (PM) with over 7 years of Construction Project Management experience doing work in both the public and private sectors. These projects have included concrete tilt warehouses, a multistory hospital tower, schools, during this time he has managed construction on projects ranging from Hundreds of millions of dollars down to projects worth a couple of thousand dollars. He has been a LEED accredited professional since 2007. Currently, Anthony provides estimating and construction project management services for a multitude of small projects on campus.

Cameron Patterson brings 8+ years of design and construction management experience to Portland State's Capital Projects and Construction team. Cameron has previously worked in both the public and private sectors including several large scale higher education projects.  Cameron strives to complete high quality and cost effective projects on campus while meeting PSU's goals for future growth and sustainability. Cameron is committed to promoting teamwork, excellent customer service, safety, and building lasting relationships with project stakeholders.

Chris is a Project Manager, working with In-house construction team and contractors to provide timely and cost efficient construction to the University and the public. His construction experience was gained managing construction projects and personnel in the US Army and the US Army Corps of Engineers. He is a registered Professional Engineer with a BS in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy and an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisville.
