CIPSU Professional Development for Chinese Teachers

Program Description

Come and join us for the two-day professional development program designed to help you gain knowledge and skills in the pedagogy, teaching styles, and classroom management of American K–12 classrooms.

The goal of the workshop will help participants learn to develop evidence-based practices associated with high levels of student learning. After two days of training, participants will be able to do the following:

  • Create a classroom environment that fosters Chinese language and cultural performance
  • Keep students engaged in class
  • Effectively manage a classroom by increasing interaction with students and improving the quality of instructions
  • Explore lessons creatively -- using movies and television to teach Chinese
