Get Ahead with Accelerated CS

Complete the prerequisites to enter PSU's Computer Science masters degree program in only twelve months!

Many computing professionals bring a background in another field to their work. Our accelerated CS program is designed to prepare high-achieving post-baccalaureate students with diverse educational backgrounds for graduate study in Computer Science.

Formally known as the New Beginnings program, our newly designed Accelerated CS program uses a mixed-cohort, integrative, immersive format.  It is a full-time, cohort-model for the summer and fall terms. Students will then join the general student population for the winter and spring terms.  The first two terms require students to be on campus four days a week (MTWR) and occasional Fridays.  Upon successful completion of this program, students will begin their graduate program with PSU in Computer Science.
