Required tests for Elementary programs starting summer 2018:

Elementary Education Subtest II - Official scores due by May 1, 2018
Elementary Education Subtest I – Official scores due by April 30, 2019
Protecting Student and Civil Rights Test – Official scores due by August 20, 2018

Required tests for Secondary programs starting summer 2018:

Content Area Test - Official scores due by June 15, 2018
Protecting Student and Civil Rights Test - Official scores due by August 20, 2018

Required tests for Elementary programs starting summer 2019:

Elementary Education Subtest II - Official scores due by May 1, 2019
Elementary Education Subtest I – Official scores due by April 30, 2020
Protecting Student and Civil Rights Test – Official scores due by August 20, 2019

Required tests for Secondary programs starting summer 2019:

Content Area Test - Official scores due by June 15, 2019
Protecting Student and Civil Rights Test - Official scores due by August 20, 2019

Note: Applicants who intend to teach middle school math only, and not high school math, will take the NES Middle Grades Mathematics test. Please contact an advisor if you are uncertain which test to take.

Applicants who want to teach art, music, or physical education at any level (K-12) will take the NES test in their chosen subject area and must apply to the secondary track of the program.
