Lib 428/528 - Children's Literature
Mth 211, 212, 213 - Foundations of Elementary Mathematics
(These courses must be completed with a grade of B- or better)

  • If an applicant takes an equivalent course listed on this chart, a transcript that shows the course grade serves as documentation.
  • If an applicant has taken a similar course or is considering a course that is not on this list, that course must be reviewed through the Prerequisite Waiver Form with an education advisor.

Please Note:

  • Applicants to the 1-Year Program must complete all prerequisite courses by the end of spring term 2019.
  • Applicants to the 2-Year Program must complete a minimum of 2 of the 4 prerequisite courses by the end of spring term 2019.

For the secondary track

Content area prerequisite courses are determined by the academic advisor for the specific subject. Applicants will need to:

  1. Meet with the academic advisor to determine if there are any recommended courses for your specific subject area.
  2. The advisor will indicate which classes are recommended on the Department Recommendation Form.
  3. Include the form with your GTEP application.
