ReadOregon - Program of Study

Program of study: 24-credit endorsement

The ReadOregon curriculum is steeped in strategies, research, and tools that teachers of all grade levels and content areas can apply immediately to their instruction. ReadOregon courses are organized by five themes along with electives that build upon each other in order to prepare you to have a successful practicum experience.

Students take 3 credits in each of the following thematic areas:

Students take 3 credits in each of the following thematic areas:

  • Literacy Strategies & Methods 
  • Literacy for Diverse Learners 

Students take 6 credits of electives:

  • All literature courses are electives. Courses in any of the other thematic areas may also count towards the elective requirement

IMPORTANT

All credits in the Certificate of Completion may be used towards the reading endorsement.

All credits must be completed within a seven year time frame.

Students are encouraged to complete their endorsement program within two to three years.
