Racial and ethnic minorities are underrepresented in clinical trials. Astrid will present why racial representation is important but lacking in clinical trials, historical case examples of the lack of diversity in drug clinical trials and the impact, and what can be done and what is being done to increase diversity in clinical trials.

Speaker bio:

Astrid is a senior consultant in strategy and global market access at Informa Pharma Intelligence where she analyzes the commercial potential of recently launched and pipeline drugs. To people outside of the industry, she describes her work as “a fortune teller, but only for drugs.” She also serves as WIS PDX’s vice president. In her off-time, she enjoys perfecting her gingerbread house techniques and training her dog Riley.
