Facilities

Access to state-of-the-art instrumentation, research facilities, and support facilities is an important aspect of conducting research.

The Department of Chemistry is housed primarily in the Robertson Life Sciences Building1 and the Science Research and Teaching Center, which provide exceptionally designed teaching labs and classrooms, as well as unparalleled research labs and infrastructure, and offer students the premier science educational experience in the Pacific Northwest.

The Department maintains a digital inventory control system for the chemicals in our stockroom and in chemistry research laboratories and our stockroom provides support for chemistry teaching and research. Stockroom staff lead chemical safety training sessions on a monthly basis.

Graduate students provide tutoring in the Chemistry Commons, Science Building I, room 221
