This is a hands-on course that provides an overview of the principles of Supply Chain Management. Students will be introduced to the essentials including strategy, forecasting/planning, purchasing, operations, logistics, and transportation. The course will also cover the methods organizations use to create value for customers through key operating priorities such as: quality, cost, time, flexibility, innovation and sustainability.

  • Understand the importance of links between customer needs and operations design.

  • Apply analytical tools to solving operations and supply chain problems.
  • Understand supply chain management and its importance in today’s economy.
  • Legitimately present yourself as having a working vocabulary of operations and supply chain management terminology.
