Noncredit refund: Notification of withdrawal or drop must be given, and requests for refunds for noncredit courses must be received, by midnight five days before the first class session. Refunds are not given after this time. Withdrawal or drop must be requested via the student portal, by the student. Please login in to the student portal and select the drop button. If the drop button does not appear on your enrollment history, please email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

100% refund: Midnight, five days before the first day of class class
0% refund: 12:01 a.m., four days before the first day of class or later
Note: If you pay the regular rate for a class and switch to a later section with an early bird discount, the early bird discount will not apply.
Credit refund: Refunds for credit students are based on the Portland State University fee refund schedule. For questions on refunds for credit courses, please call our Office of Admission, Registration & Records at 503-725-4832. Please allow four to six weeks for refund processing.
