Oregon Lake Watch Program

Come Join the Oregon Lake Watch Program! Are you interested in learning more about one of Oregon's great lakes? Do you go fishing, camping or boating and wonder what that plant is growing just under the surface or what our native crayfish look like? Volunteering with the Oregon Lake Watch (OLW) program may be for you! OLW is a new program starting up this spring with funding from the OSMB and organized by the Center for Lakes and Reservoirs at Portland State University. OLW is looking for people interested in protecting their favorite lake by learning to monitor water quality (things like water clarity and temperature profiles) and helping to find aquatic invasive animals and plants. Volunteers can pick any lake they're interested in within the state, so if you need an excuse to head up to the Cascades or out to the coast... this is it! Please visit our webpage for more details about the program.
