Portland State President Wim Wiewel has formed a new Task Force on Public Safety to advise him about public safety on campus.

Wiewel asked the panel of faculty, staff and students to gather and analyze crime data, host a series of campus conversations, and present its findings and recommendations to him by Nov. 1.

The task force, led by Vice President Jackie Balzer, will start its work by holding two open forums for public comment from noon-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 in Smith 327 and 4-5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5 in Smith 333. Food and beverages will be provided.
