Please note: The credit card processor is known to experience difficulty with the Safari browser. If you have trouble with credit card payment on Safari, we suggest trying a different browser (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera) or contact 503-725-9968 for assistance after setting up your student account.

For a step-by-step guide with screenshots to registering with a credit card, please click here.

* If you are an organization paying for an employee, please note that the student account must be created with the student’s information, not a company representative’s.

  1. Locate the class you would like to register for in our course catalog. The most effective way to use the search is to enter as few criteria as possible: for example, a keyword from the title and a Subject Area / Program. The more criteria that are entered, the more your search is limited.
  2. Click [Add to Cart]. Select any valid price adjustments if they are available (e.g., Early Bird Discount).
  3. Click [Continue Checkout]. You will then be taken to a Login page.
    1. If you've registered for a noncredit class since December 2011, enter your username and password and proceed with checkout.
    2. If you last took a class before December 2011 or have never taken a class with Portland State University, please select New User, enter your email address, and proceed with check-out to create a student account.
  4. Proceed with registration and payment per instructions on the screen.
  5. Check your email. You will receive an enrollment confirmation with a PDF payment receipt attached.

* If you are an organization registering multiple employees by credit card in numbers where it is not feasible to enroll them individually (e.g., sending eight clinicians to a mental health seminar), please have your employees create their student accounts here. Once they have all been created, call 503-725-9968 to pay by phone or email to arrange the best time for us to reach you.

Paying by check or money order

  1. Locate the class you would like to register for.
  2. If you last took a class before December 2011 or have never taken a noncredit class with Portland State University, set up your free student account.
  3. Print, fill out and sign a paper registration form.
  4. Mail the registration form with the check (US funds only) to:

    Portland State University
    Graduate School of Education
    Attn: Continuing Education Registration
    PO Box 751
    Portland, OR 97207-0751

Paying by purchase order, tuition voucher, etc.

 * Please note that this option is only available to organizations, (e.g., businesses, school districts, government agencies). Individuals may not be billed.

  1. Have your employees create their student accounts if they do not have one already or last took a class prior to December 2011. They can do so here. Please do not use a company representative’s contact information, as the accounts and CEUs will belong to the individual registrant.
  2. Fill out and sign paper registration forms for each of the students. These must be filled out even if your employee believes they have an existing student account.
  3. Send the purchase order or tuition voucher along with the registration form(s) to our office. They can be emailed to, faxed to 503-725-4737, or mailed to:
    Portland State University
    Graduate School of Education
    Attn: Continuing Education Registration
    PO Box 751
    Portland, OR 97207-0751

For credit card or check payments, a PDF receipt will be emailed to you attached to your enrollment confirmation to the primary email address indicated.

For purchase order payments, a PDF receipt will be sent to the contact person assigned to your organization.

If you mistakenly deleted this email, you can obtain a new receipt by logging into your student account at and clicking on My Account History. All financial transactions paid by you will be listed with a downloadable PDF payment receipt.
