CEE Awards 121 degrees at PSU's 2017 Commencement

Portland State University's Civil and Environmental Engineering Department awarded 121  degrees at the Spring Commencement ceremony held at the Moda Center on June 18, 2017. A total of  68 Bachelors in Civil Engineering,  22 Bachelors in Environmental Engineering, 14 Masters of Science, 13 Masters of Engineering and 4 Ph.D. degrees were awarded.   A total of 13 of the Bachelor's students graduated with Latin Honors  (magna, summa and cum laude), and 5 with Department Honors and 3 of the Ph.D. graduates have been selected for tenure-track faculty positions. 

CEE is at the forefront of improving the lives of the citizens of Portland, the state of Oregon and the world.  Since 1974, PSU CEE has graduated 2,331 engineers who contribute to the vibrancy and quality of life in the Portland region and beyond. Our 25 faculty are researching methods to improve water quality, better forecast droughts and extreme events, designing and planning better and connected cities, and making our infrastructure more resilient and have research expenditures exceeding $3.2 million annually.
