CEE's Dr. Moradkhani inducted into UCI Samueli School of Engineering Hall of Fame

University of Calfornia, Irvine's Samueli School of Engineering honored 11 distinguished alumni during their 2017 Alumni Hall of Fame Celebration on Feb. 24 at the Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin, Calif.  Dr. Hamid Moradkhani, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Portland State University was one of five engineering alumni inductees were nominated and selected for their respective school’s Hall of Fame by merit of their extensive personal achievements and professional contributions. Nearly 200 attendees came out to honor this year's inductees.

Guests to the Alumni Hall of Fame Celebration arrived on the Marconi's red carpet and were invited to admire the eclectic mix of classic, historic and exotic cars of the museum’s $30 million dollar automotive collection. The evening’s attendees enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, while competing to be the “fastest driver” on the museum’s slot car racetrack.
