Engineer and vibration specialist, Dan Huynh, introduces Zhu Zaiyu (1536-1611), a Chinese Ming Dynasty prince, dedicated to science and music who discovered the mathematical calculation behind the theory of Equal Temperament in 1584. This discovery importantly influenced the art of music worldwide and became the universal standard tuning system for all instruments East and West.
