About Us

We are a nationally recognized research and workforce development center helping to define the future of social work and human services practice. Last year, we generated 8.1 million dollars in funding which played a key role in PSU's School of Social Work being ranked 4th in the nation for R&D funding (13.1 million) in social work (National Science Foundation, Higher Education Research and Development Survey).

Founding Partner

The Center stands on the foundation provided by the Child Welfare Partnership, a long-term program founded in 1994 joining the Oregon Department of Human Services public child welfare program and Portland State University. The Partnership offers training, research and graduate education to support the child welfare workforce in Oregon.
