Arbor Month: Celebrate the Trees of Downtown Portland

Portland State University’s Campus Sustainability Office, Portland Parks & Recreation’s Urban Forestry, and The Westside Portland Tree Guild and will celebrate Arbor Month with a day of fun-filled tree events in downtown Portland. 

These events are free and open to the public. 

  • 9:30 a.m. Tree Tour & Walk. Guided by Phyllis Reynolds, the author of Trees of Greater Portland. Registration and book signing begins at 9:30 a.m.
  • 12:30 p.m. Tree Planting. Help plant a tree in front of Lincoln Hall’s new entry. 
  • 6 p.m. Movie Screening. Brian French, certified arborist and founder of the non-profit organization Ascending the Giants, will discuss his work and screen his documentary film, Treeverse. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

All events begin at PSU’s Hoffman Hall (SW 11th Ave. and SW Harrison St.)
