History of Dress is headed to Italy! These study abroad and virtual study-abroad versions of the course offer students the opportunity to explore fashion studies concepts and collaborate in two distinct contexts: Florence, Italy, and Portland, Oregon. Students in the abroad section will travel to Florence for three weeks and use the city's museums, artisan workshops, and local fashion industry as a site of investigation. Students taking the course remotely from the Portland State University will do similar work using a combination of local resources and nationally recognized online archives.
This course is open to both degree and non-degree-seeking students from all over the world.
