The show features a selection of 24 collages from around the world submitted through an open call in response to the theme “Community.” PNWCC co-founders Laura Weiler and Kellette Elliott and Fencework creator Clive Knights curated the show, which will present the collages as printed enlargements on all-weather panels. Knights is a collage artist and professor in Portland State University’s School of Architecture. After the show, certain works will be selected for inclusion in the Kanyer Art Collection, a generous sponsor of the event and premier US-based contemporary collage collector. The remainder will be donated to the Kindness Farms program in Portland where volunteers work on the farm to produce food that is donated to help feed those without access to fresh, healthy produce. The farm has a permanent outdoor art exhibit where volunteers and visitors can appreciate the artwork for years to come.
