Nicole Penoncello, born and raised on the east coast, is an artist and educator based in Portland, Oregon. She holds a BFA in Sculpture from James Madison University and an MFA in Contemporary Art Practice from Portland State University. She has exhibited her work nationally including recent exhibitions at the Kimball Arts Center in Park City, Utah, and the Center on Contemporary Art in Seattle, WA. In addition to teaching at Portland State, she is certified to teach K-12 Art and works as Teaching Artist for the Right Brain Initiative as well as a K-5 Art Specialist for Portland Public Schools. She teaches courses in Drawing and Art in the Elementary School at PSU.
