Minor in Architecture

To earn a Minor in Architecture, an undergraduate student must complete 44 credits including the following:

Arch 100 Introduction to Architecture (4)
Arch 280, 281: Design Fundamentals Studios 1, 2 (6, 6)
Arch 230, 231, 232: Architecture and Cultural History I, II, III (4, 4, 4)
Architecture or art studio electives (8)
Adviser-approved, upper-division credits in architecture (8)

Total: 44 Quarter Credits Required

Architecture courses taken under the undifferentiated grading option (pass/no pass) will not be accepted toward fulfilling department minor requirements.

Eighteen of the final 24 credits must be taken in residence at Portland State University.

Note prerequisites for Arch 280 and 281 (Arch 120 and 121). Arch 120 and 121, taken as prerequisites, may fulfill the "Architecture or art studio electives" requirement in the Minor.
