Archaeology Roadshow: Discover the archaeology of daily life

Join the Anthropology Department for the Archaeology Roadshow, a celebration of the region and Oregon's heritage.

Explore the archaeology of daily life with 40 exhibits and hands-on activities organized by our students, faculty, alumni and dozens of community partners.

You can:

  • Touch relics dating back hundreds of years
  • Throw atlatls, ancient weapons that preceded the bow and arrow
  • Learn the art of stone tool making
  • Meet real archaeologists and others that study and work to protect Oregon's heritage
  • Sample beer based on historic recipes
  • Bring artifacts to be identified and examined by a panel of experts, and more!
