Set aside time for yourself and your writing by joining a facilitated writing retreat with OAI. This virtual three-hour retreat provides faculty the opportunity to focus on their writing projects while gaining inspiration and support from fellow academic authors. With guidance from Dannelle Stevens, OAI's Faculty in Residence for Academic Writing, participants will begin by setting realistic goals and warm up with a focused freewrite. Danelle will facilitate group discussion, small group breakouts, and dedicated writing sessions throughout the day.
During these retreat, participants will learn practical, focused writing strategies to enhance their writing practice, make meaningful progress on their writing project during three focused writing sessions, and benefit from the fellowship and support of a community of like-minded scholars.
This retreat is offered twice, on February 4th and March 4th, 2021. Please register to attend. Our events seek to be inclusive, and all are welcome. If you have accessibility requests, please reach out to oai@pdx.edu prior to the event and we will do our best to accommodate them.
