February 13
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
PSU Native American Student and Community Center, Room 170
710 SW Jackson St.

This two-hour workshop will focus on creating and maintaining a healthy relationship. The lessons are based on the teachings of our Native American ancestors and our tribal elders. We will discuss healthy sexuality, choosing healthy partners, dating and courtship, healthy communication, and gender roles in relationships. The workshop will be interactive and fun, and is designed for single individuals, dating or married couples, and domestic partners.

This workshop is presented by Jillene Joseph (Gros Ventre) Executive Director of Native Wellness Institute. Jillene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education. She has lived in the Portland area her entire life and maintains close ties with her homelands and family in Montana on the Fort Belknap Reservation. Jillene loves to bead, cook, and attend powwows. She has a daughter and three sons and raised her nephew and other relatives. Along with her children, Jillene and her life partner, Will, make their home in Gresham.

This workshop is open to all, is a FREE EVENT, and light refreshments will be provided.
