Women of Color Action Team
The purpose of the Women of Color Action Team is to provide a space for women of color and their allies to focus solely on developing events that address the unique issues of women of color. It is an opportunity to network and build an empowered community of women of color on campus.
The Women of Color Action Team had its first meeting on February 10th, 2011. The group discussed various ways to provide better support to women of color at PSU, which included: creating a pamphlet of campus and community resources that would be beneficial to women of color students, a women of color symposium fall term, and hosting fun events like a weekly movie night and so much more!
