Water Scarcity with the WRC Eco Femmes

Friday May 16th from 12:00-2:00pm in the WRC Lounge

PSU PRIDE

Film Premiere: America the Beautiful 3

Wednesday, May 21st from 5:00-8:00pm in University pointe at College Station, Room 102

The film by award-winning director Darryl Roberts investigates the complicated messages of the sexualization of youth and eating disorders that are heard and seen everyday. A Q&A Panel and reception will follow the film.

Body Respect: Kicking the Diet Habit and Moving on with Dr. Linda Bacon

Friday, May 23rd from 3:00-5:00pm in the Multicultural Center (SMSU 228)

Join us for a provocative seminar as Dr. Linda Bacon debunks traditionally held myths about the relationship between weight and health, easing concerns that dieting or controlling your eating are necessary or valuable for a healthy or desirable body, and arming you with the knowledge, resources and confidence to combat the weight myths and stigma and regain a trusting relationship with your body. Let's Talk - Drop in Counseling
Tuesdays from 2:00-3:00pm in the WRC Lounge

Let's Talk is a program that provides easy access to informal mental health consultations with counselors from SHAC. Counselors hold walk-in hours at sites around campus through out the week. Speaking with a counselor can provide insight, solutions, and information about other resources. Let’s Talk consultations are free, confidential and do not require an appointment.

Trans Women Student Alliance
Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00pm in the WRC Lounge starting April 1st

Are you trans? Do you identify as a woman or lady? Do you want to talk about your experiences with people who know where you’re coming from? We are setting up an affinity group to create safe space for community and conversation among trans* ladies. For more information contact the Trans Women Student Alliance at twsapdx@gmail.com.

Crafternoons!
Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00pm in the WRC Lounge 

Bring your knitting, crochet, sewing and gripes. Share skills, ideas and thoughts. Everyone is welcome. Yarn and needles are also available for beginners or those in need. All crafts are welcome and are not restricted to yarn or string. Sponsored by the Women's Resource Center. For more information call (503) 725-5672.

Returning Women Students Peer Support Group
Thursdays from 12:00-1:00pm starting January 16th in the WRC Lounge

The Returning Women Peer Support Group is a chance for non-traditional students to share resources, gain skills, and provide encouragement to one another. It is a free drop in group that meets weekly. For more information contact Virginia at vmartin@pdx.edu.

To hold your event or publicized get together at the WRC a SPACE USE REQUEST FORM must be filled out and returned to the WRC a minimum of thirty days prior to the event. If your group, department, or organization is interested in co-sponsoring an event with the Women's Resource Center please  fill out our Co-Sponsorship Request Form.
