Sister to Sister Mentor Program

Mission statement

The mentoring program at the Women’s Resource Center is one of the services provided by the Empowerment Project. The goals of the mentoring program are to improve retention of students underrepresented in higher education (returning women students, women of color, student parents, and first-generation students), to encourage mentee academic success and achievement, to support developing workforce skills, and to promote community building.

Become a Mentor

If you are interested in becoming a mentor with the Sister to Sister Mentor Program, please fill out an online form and the Empowerment Project Coordinator will contact you to set up an interview and begin the matching process. We are always accepting applications for the program. Follow these steps:

1) Sign up to be a WRC OrgSync member.
2) Fill out the Mentor Application Form in OrgSync.

Become a Mentee

Women who are interested in having a mentor, please fill out an online application. You will be contacted shortly to begin the process of being matched with a mentor. Applications may be submitted throughout the year. Follow these steps:

1) Sign up to be a WRC OrgSync member.
2) Fill out the Mentee Application Form in OrgSync.
