Starting Winter 2008, building and room locations for classes meeting on campus will no longer be printed in the Schedule of Classes. Locations for off-campus and on line classes will continue to be printed. This printing change is a direct result of new classroom scheduling policies communicated by Lindsay Desrochers and Provost Roy Koch in a memo dated July 17, 2007.
On campus building/room assignments will be published in the on line Class Schedule -- http://www.sa.pdx.edu/soc/ -- two weeks before the start of each term. Note that initial room assignments change frequently due to enrollment increases, disability requests, and other factors resulting in last-minute changes. Students should confirm their campus locations in the on line Class Schedule a few days before the term begins.
Students with access requirements are encouraged to register with the Disabilities Resource Center (DRC), located in Room 435 of the Smith Memorial Student Union. The DRC will have a list of tentative room assignments available for planning purposes. Go to http://www.pdx.edu/uasc/disability-resource-center-home for more information.
IMPORTANT: Even though building/room assignments will not be published in the on line schedule until two weeks before the start of each term, department staff will still be able to go into Banner and BI-Query and see the initial assignments!! Note: Students will also be able to see the initial building/room assignments on the PSU Information System (we have no way of preventing this but have added text to inform the student that the assignments are 'tentative').
