Lorie Wigle, MBA ’89, will receive Sustainable Business Oregon Leadership Award at the Portland Business Journal's Innovation in Sustainability Awards Luncheon, Wednesday, November 16 at the Governor Hotel.
Wigle is the General Manager of Intel’s Eco-Technology organization which encompasses the sustainable design, manufacturing and use of Intel products. This drives Intel’s market position across the full life cycle impact including energy efficient performance, design for the environment and product carbon footprint and has direct influence in the design and delivery of all of Intel’s products. Her team is also driving the Intel Open Energy Initiative, which drives standards-based, open implementation of smart grid and smart building technologies globally. The team’s work is expected to help shape the future of the world’s energy infrastructure.
Wigle was also a featured presenter at last year’s International Conference on Business and Sustainability, organized by the Center for Global Leadership in Sustainability.
