Peter H. Fogtdal is from Copenhagen, Denmark and has taught literature classes in the department since 2004 - not from an academic point of view but from that of a writer.

Peter is a celebrated novelist with 12 novels published in his native Denmark. Three have been translated into French, two into Portuguese, and one into English, The Tsar's Dwarf (Hawthorne Books).  In 2005 he won Prix Littéraire des Ambassadeurs de la Francophonie for his translated novel Le Front Chantilly (Flodeskumsfronten)
