Public Leadership Trainings
The Center for Public Service has developed a leadership framework, EMERGE, which has been adapted for curriculum and training through the Ho Chi Minh Academy in Vietnam.
August 4-17th, 2013 the second Program 165 delegation will come to Portland with high ranking officials from throughout Vietnam. Program 165 oversees Vietnam's political leadership training and development, sending short-term delegations to various countries to learn about their political systems and build mutually beneficial relationships. PSU has a decade-long record of quality governance training, and is pleased to host the second annual delegation, who will be conducting a study tour and training in Portland and Washington, DC. The 15 participants are all high-level public officials, 5 of whom are the equivalent of governor in strategic Vietnamese provinces. Program 165 is interested in naming PSU as the first US institution to host participating Vietnamese masters and PhD student, and the success of the delegation's trip can play a major role in ensuring this relationship going forward.
